Halloween Chocolate Bar Cookies

Looking for a way to get rid of some of your Halloween, Easter or Christmas chocolates?  Note that if you have an abundance of chocolate, like our family of 6 usually has, then you can freeze it.  If they are small bars, simply put in a zip lock bag and freeze, if they are larger then break into 3-4cm chunks, add to zip lock back and freeze.

Ingredients

  • 125 grams Butter
  • 100 grams Brown Suagar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 260 grams Plain Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sea salt
  • 140 grams Chocolate (chocolate bars or pieces)
  • 1 1/2 teasons Baking Powder

Halloween Chocolate Bar Cookies Directions

  1.  Preheat over to 170 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl add all your dry goods, the flour, salt, and baking powder and mix together.
  3. Place 140g of chocolate bars (these can be any type of chocolate bars, the more random the better sometimes ;))  Make sure the pieces are approximately 2cm in length if you are using solid chocolate.
  4. Blitz for 1 second on turbo.  It should be roughly chopped.  If chunks are too large (larger than a standard chocolate chip) then give it another second on turbo.
  5. Pour chocolate pieces into a bowl and set aside.
  6. Place butter, sugar and vanilla essence in TM bowl.
